Nairobi’s Governor Mike Sonko this morning visited Dandora estate to grieve with former starlets veteran goalkeeper Rosemary Kadondo Mara. The Governor, who was accompanied by local leaders pledged his commitment on development and promised to enhance sportsmanship by supporting talent.
“The Government has been abandoning talent that people who raised our flag high are left to suffer in abject poverty. It will be my commitment to have them recognized with the pride they deserve,” he said.
The Governor gave a cash donation to the family to help meet funeral costs. Until her demise, Mara was the Starlets kit manager and has been praised as a great inspirational leader to the Starlets. She passed on after a short illness.
